The Status of Soybean Genomics and Its Role in the Development of Soybean Biotechnologies

چکیده

Advances in molecular and computational technologies have irreversibly changed the course of genetic investigation for almost all organisms. Although “single-gene” and “single investigator” studies will continue to provide detail and resolution to our understanding of biological processes, the greatest impact in this field of investigation will likely come from the high-throughput discovery tools of genomics. Advances in soybean genomics in the last 15 years promise to revolutionize soybean genetics. What follows is a brief report on key components of soybean genomics.
